Taylor began to record ASMR on her cell phone before uploading videos to YouTube. PewDiePie featured her in an online gaming video shortly after she had topped 50,000 subscribers approximately 1 1/2 months after launching the first video. Taylor's Youtube channel had reached 100,000 users within 2 weeks. Taylor ceased to produce videos, and then put them up on the internet in private. She cited technical problems, equipment issues, and also she felt overwhelmed by her fame. After a break of a month, she began making videos in the new year, such as the popular ASMR 10 Triggers To Help You sleep (35 million views as of august 2022). ASMR Twenty Triggers for Sleep which was highly popular during July of 2017, has now been watched by more than 38 million viewers as at August 20, 2012. In August 2017, Shane Dawson interviewed her and soon she had reached 1 million YouTube subscribers. Wired UK, in its February 2019 issue, reported her earnings at $800 per month on her YouTube channel.
Dennis Helfer was a Canada-based farmer, as well as Elaine Helfer, a Canadian woman, were her parents. Helfer is of German, English and Swedish heritage. She was educated at the William E. Hay Composite High School of Stettler located in Alberta. She lived and worked on the family's farm alongside her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. A modeling agency scout discovered Helfer when she was 17 while she was standing in line for a movie.
